Material Requirements for Wooden Formwork

The wooden formwork is composed of a panel and a support system. The panel is the part that makes the concrete shape; the support system is the structural part that stabilizes the position of the panel and bears the upper load.

 

The quality of the formwork is related to the quality of the concrete project. The key is accurate size, firm assembly, tight joints, and convenient assembly and disassembly. The appropriate form of template should be selected according to the form and characteristics of the structure to achieve good technical and economic effects. The formwork and support system of large and special projects shall be calculated to check the stiffness, strength, stability and ability of withstanding lateral pressure.

 

1. The base formwork is made of pine wood, poplar wood, and eucalyptus wood. The thickness of the side slab of the ground beam is 20mm.

 

2. The bottom template of the main beam is made of pine wood, and the thickness of the bottom template is 40mm. The column template and floor template are made of machine-made wood template (nine plywood) with a thickness of 12mm.

 

3. The support system is made of cedar logs, the diameter of the small head is not less than 70mm, and the draw connection is made of small square wood of 400×500mm, and the bottom support system is steel pipe support.

 

4. The wood formwork and supporting system shall not use brittle, severely distorted and damp-deformed wood.
